MetWIND Sailing Forecasts was-formed in 2013 utilising the broad-based experience, training and skills of professional meteorologists and sailors. Our staff are recognised experts in their fields of high-level competitive sailing, meteorology, and coaching.

The principal objective of the company is to provide added-value weather forecasting, specific for competitive sailing. We have worked all over the world, particularly throughout Europe and the USA.

OLYMPIC GAMES

Our meteorologists have worked at the last six Olympic Games producing race-specific forecasts for the Spanish team (Sydney 2000 to Rio 2016) and Italy (Tokyo 2020). We are proud to have been involved in the winning of a total of 8 podium medals: 5 Golds (4 for Spain, 1 for Italy) and 3 Silvers (Spain).

The plan for Paris 2024 Olympic regatta, to be held in Marseille waters, is to be open to work with more than one team.

Strongest Swan 50 class teams use Metwind forecasts including current world champion Hatari.

In RC44, some of the Top Teams choice was Metwind information, including World Champions Aqua, Nika,  Ceeref, and also Artemis, Bronenosec, etc…

AMERICA’S CUP

We worked hard with Luna Rossa Challenge in the last America’s Cup, winning the Prada Cup and reaching the final against ETNZ in Auckland in March.

We have signed with INEOS Britannia Team to work at the 37th America’s Cup to be held in Barcelona in 2024.

During the 32nd America’s Cup our meteorologists were in Valencia: Miguel led the weather department, and was weather strategist on the water in the Mascalzone Latino-Capitalia Team.

TP52 FLEET

We work with the TP52 class since 2008, the best teams have been gaining strategical confidence with our forecasts in all the season venues: Azzurra (until 2020), Quantum, Platoon, Provezza, Alegre, Phoenix, Interlodge, etc…

VOLVO OCEAN RACE

We worked with Sun Hung-Kai Scallywag Team helping the afterguard to prepare the legs along the Volvo Ocean Race 2017-2018.

ONSITE ASSISTANCE ON MAJOR PROJECTS

We worked with Luna Rossa Challenge during the last America’s Cup (Auckland 2021).

We’ve taken part in the last six Olympic games, since Sydney 2000 to Rio 2016 (Spanish Team) and Tokyo 2020 (Italian team).

We collaborated with the Sun Hing-Kai Scallywag Team at the Volvo 2017-2018, with onsite presence at some of the leg starts.
